Bill Ayars

Bill is a founding principal of Perspectus Architecture in Cleveland, Ohio. His firm specializes in healthcare design and its clients include the world-renowned Cleveland Clinic, University Hospitals, Summa Health, and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.

 Bill was born in Michigan and grew up in Vermilion, Ohio. He earned his Bachelor of Architecture degree from Kent State University in 1979 and an MBA from Case Western Reserve University in 2001.

 He lives in Bay Village, Ohio, with his wife, Susan, and has two grown daughters, Jackie and the late Jennifer Ayars.

 Susan Valerian

Susan is a longtime writer and journalist. She spent 15 years as a newspaper reporter, most recently at The Plain Dealer in Cleveland, Ohio.

She worked at Glamour magazine in New York City and as an investigative producer for the NBC affiliate in Cleveland. Her articles have appeared in the The New York Times and the Atlanta Journal Constitution.

Susan lives in University Heights, Ohio, with her husband, Jay, and daughters Olivia and Julia.
